Katie
Katie was with us for 12 years after we adopted her from Beagle Rescue in 1995 when she was 1 1/2 years old. She was such a scared little girl when she first came to our home but once she found out she was going to be loved and not hurt anymore, she blossomed into such an incredible little beagle. She had a keen sense of time and always let us know when it was time for her meals by sitting in the kitchen and growling at us until we fed her. She loved Halloween and seeing all the children come to our door. Every time the door bell would ring, she would run to the door and sit and wait to see who had come to get some candy. She was diagnosed with cancer in September of 2006 when we had her spleen and a large tumor removed. She had 6 more months with us before the cancer returned and we had to make the hard decision to put her to sleep. Rest well Katie girl. We will see you again some day.
